Orlando Gas Prices Surpass $4 – Hit Record High

Regular fuel prices increased 54% to $4.15 per gallon from the year-ago price of $2.69. Florida’s gas price average for regular was $4.15, up 53.1% from $2.71 a year ago. The West Palm Beach-Boca Raton metro recorded the highest in-state price of $4.24 per gallon for regular. The lowest price in the state was Pensacola, with $4.08 per gallon for regular.

The rising costs come as the region is entering the spring break travel season. Spring break is considered one of the busiest times of the year for the local tourism and travel industry.
